I wanted Connie to tell of her mother's passing on to Jesus...here are her wonderful words the morning after her sweet mother passed away.
Thank you so much for your prayers for my mother. On Sunday morning, March 29th @ 8:20, God took my mother to heaven. Mother passed away in my arms & I had the honor of giving mother her last bath before they took her to the funeral home.
She was a great warrior fighting with all her will to stay with her family, but God knows what is best. Mother was under hospice care for a day & a half before she passed away & had been in the hospital for five weeks. On the night before her death, we knew she was still holding on for us. We circled her bed, prayed over her, told her how much we loved her/what a wonderful mother she had been, and we told her it was okay to go home to heaven... we could make it without her. Gail, my sweet cousin, sang "Amazing Grace" in mother's ear & we knew the time was getting near.
I wouldn't take anything for those sweet memories. I had prayed to be with my mother when she passed away, and God answered my prayer. The visitation is tomorrow night & mother's funeral will be on Wednesday afternoon. If you would like to read her obituary, mother's name is Maxine .... here is the link to the funeral home.
